The Lagdei moorland lies within the municipality of Corniglio, at the foot of Monte Orsaro and Monte Braiola. It is the last remnant of an ancient glacial lake. An approximately 400 m long, completely level and accessible trail runs around the moorland. Five interactive information panels and twelve illustrated signs explain the development of the moorland and the main species living there.

The trail layout, information panels and signs focus on observation and clear orientation on site. Mountain trails, peaks and Lago Santo
The Sentiero dei carbonai, marked 723B, leads uphill from the state forestry gates in the Foresta della Val Parma in the municipality of Corniglio towards Lago Santo. It therefore represents a different way of experiencing the mountain landscape from the level loop trail at the moorland. The summit of Monte Caio is in the vicinity of Corniglio; the Piscio di Pracchiola waterfall is also located nearby.
Cyclists can also plan around a specific starting point: the 100 Laghi Bike route begins in Lagdei in the municipality of Corniglio. Lago Santo can be reached by chairlift. This gives you various themes to consider separately during your stay: nature observation at the moorland, an uphill route, a bike tour or an excursion to the lake. This does not imply a shared route or any particular order.
Castle, monument and local speciality
The Castello di Corniglio is a fortified castle dating from the mid-14th century. It was owned by the Rossi and Farnese families. Opposite the Castello di Corniglio stands the Tempietto SS. Lucio e Amanzio, which is dedicated to the fallen. Both names give Corniglio's historical side a concrete point of reference, without requiring you to focus your stay exclusively on a single theme.
Spongata is part of the local cuisine. It is a local Christmas speciality, a famous dessert with very ancient origins.
