The Chiesa di Sant’Andrea is also known as Chiesa del Castellazzo and, together with Castello di Campagnola, is first mentioned in a list of the possessions of Bonifacio di Canossa, Matilde’s father, who died in 1052.
The Chiesa di Sant’Andrea is privately owned and is opened for cultural events. It is located about 1.5 kilometers from the town center, is Romanesque in style, and contains 15th-century frescoes.
