The Chiesa Parrocchiale and the Torre di Rosasco give Rosasco a distinctive historic profile. Several other religious buildings, dating from different periods and featuring different forms, add to this heritage.

Historic Buildings in the Town Centre

The Chiesa Parrocchiale was built in 1496 within the former castle grounds, on the foundations of an earlier court chapel. Inside, it preserves an oil painting on wood by Bernardino Lanino from the late 16th century.

The Torre di Rosasco is among the surviving structures of Rosasco's old castle. The tower rises 25 metres high at the highest point of the historic town centre. From its summit, it offers an impressive view of Rosasco and the surrounding area. The Torre thus connects the architectural memory of the old castle with views of Rosasco and the surrounding area.

The Chiesa di San Giuseppe also has a clearly defined architectural form. It was built in the 17th century by the Brotherhood of Saint Joseph and has a single-nave layout with a presbytery and semicircular apse. A tall bell tower completes the building. With its elegant Baroque form, the Cappella dell'Ossario provides another architectural accent; it dates from the first half of the 18th century.

Il Santuario is a small sanctuary that was largely rebuilt in the 18th century. Over time, burial chapels and an elegant portico in the Neoclassical style were added. This provides a focused insight into sacred architectural history, with different periods evident in several independent buildings.

Natural Areas and Regional Excursion Destinations

In addition to the historic buildings, wetlands shape the surrounding area. About 20 hectares of the La Cerchiara wetland lie within the territory of Rosasco; a similarly sized area is located in the adjoining hamlet of Celpenchio. The Garzaia di Celpenchio natural monument lies in a wetland within the territories of the municipalities of Rosasco, Castelnovetto and Cozzo.

The Museo Archeologico Civico L. Bruzza and the Museo Borgogna are located near Rosasco. The Palazzo di Città and the Palazzo Vecchio are also nearby; both are classified as palaces. These destinations broaden the focus from Rosasco's buildings to museums and palace architecture in the area around Rosasco.

The wider regional area around Rosasco includes several gardens and parks: the Giardini Don Secondo Pollo, the Giardini Don Giovanni Brevi and the Giardini della Stazione are gardens. The Parco Pietro Camana is a park. Together with the wetlands, they create a natural and landscape theme that extends beyond the immediate townscape.
