Belveglio at a glance

Belveglio combines a historically shaped townscape with music and natural history. The settlement developed around an early medieval castle, whose location made it possible to control the Tiglione Valley. The Castello di Belveglio was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. The history of the Castello can be traced back to the period when it was under the rule of the Astigian Raimondo Turco, who lived from 1003 to 1092. The Castello is currently home to the Ente Concerti Castello di Belveglio.

The Passerella 25 Aprile was intended to form part of a route leading from the municipality’s equipped rest area to the fossil wall of Valle della Morte in the Val Sarmassa Nature Reserve.
