On Foot Through Vineyards and Forest

Itinerario n°1 is a 2.5-kilometre-long path between Boidi and Cascina Berta. It follows a ridge and passes through vineyards. The specific distance helps you fit this walk into a day’s itinerary and consider it as a route in its own right.

Itinerario n°1 also includes a forest path lined with oaks and young elms. The return route can lead through a vineyard to a hilltop with an almost 360-degree panorama. This path therefore combines forest, vineyard landscapes and the possibility of enjoying a view.

Borgo, Church and Art in the Townscape

In the old borgo of Calamandrana stands the Chiesa della Concezione di Maria Vergine, a Baroque parish church. The church is located at a viewpoint. You can therefore combine this place of worship with exploring the old borgo and looking out over the surrounding area.

On Viale Moraglio, the Murale di Viale Moraglio creates a colourful transition from Castello di Calamandrana to the Romanesque chapel. A walk along Viale Moraglio also leads to a green park with outdoor fitness equipment. This section thus combines art, exercise and parkland.

Experience Calamandrana by Bicycle

Cyclists also have specific options: A cycling route connects Canelli, Calamandrana and Nizza Monferrato and passes through nature.
