Candiolo offers you different ways to experience the landscape and local history. The “Candiolo da Vedere” route can be explored on foot or by bicycle. For planning the day, choosing how to get around is the first practical step. Those who explore Candiolo on foot will structure the route differently than those who use a bicycle. The decision concerns the route itself and leaves the cultural part of the stay open. Outdoor activities and local history can be planned as separate focuses. The parish church of Candiolo: 1713 and 1881

Candiolo’s present-day parish church was built in 1713 and expanded in 1881. It replaced an older parish church dedicated to Madonna della Spina, which was demolished in 1713. The Order of Malta exercised patronage over the parish church of Candiolo.

Historic complex and parkland

Castello di Parpaglia is one of the few surviving medieval complexes in the diverse landscape of Stupinigi Park. The area around Candiolo also includes Giardino Nino Farina as a garden, Parco Boschetto di Nichelino as parkland, Parco Sangone as parkland and Parco Pubblico Gustavo Colonnetti as parkland. To explore the landscape and history, the view therefore extends from Castello di Parpaglia in Stupinigi Park to the gardens and parkland around Candiolo.
