The Teatrino Civico originated from the chapel of a former monastery. The Torre Ottagonale is a remnant of the castle built by the Marquises of Monferrato in the 12th century. The Canale Cavour is considered one of the most significant examples of 19th-century water engineering. Near Chivasso, the canal diverts water from the Po. The technical dimension is particularly evident at the Edificio della Presa delle Acque: the structure is 40 metres long and has 21 openings with three rows of sluice gates.

The Percorso N also combines landscape and the history of water engineering. The 48-kilometre-long itinerary runs northeast of Chivasso through predominantly flat, agricultural land and extends to the southern foothills of the Canavese moraine hill system. At the same time, it is connected with the Regia Mandria di Chivasso, the Dora Baltea and the waterworks of the 19th century. The route therefore offers a clearly defined thematic framework for anyone who does not wish to view the landscape separately from its historical use.

Nocciolini and an Annual September Event

The Nocciolini di Chivasso are among the local specialties. They are made from peeled and roasted hazelnuts of the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe variety, sugar and egg whites. Their ingredients reflect a regional food culture that can be combined well with visits to historical and cultural sites.

Every year in September, the Festa dei Nocciolini di Chivasso takes place in the town's historic centre. The programme includes gastronomic, cultural and artistic events for all age groups.
