Isolabella combines a historical legacy with surroundings where landscape, churches, squares and regional products come together. The town was a testing ground for the agricultural research of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour. Landscape between two regions

Isolabella lies at the transition between the final foothills of the Monferrato hills and the Poirino-Carmagnola plateau. The change between hill country and plateau gives Isolabella a distinct regional setting.

Piazza Cavour and the Campanile

A municipal bell tower once stood above the present-day portico on Piazza Cavour. The foundation stone of the new campanile was blessed on 29 July 1857. The campanile has remained squat.

The façade of the parish church in Isolabella features marble statues of Saint Bernard and Saint Louis, which came from the Abbey of Corveglia. Alongside the campanile, they provide another concrete testimony to the area’s religious architecture and local history.

For visitors interested in culinary specialties, these specific product names offer another way to discover Isolabella. A food stall was set up on Piazza Cavour during the patron saint’s festival.

As part of the traditional patron saint’s festival in honour of Saint Bernard, a celebratory Mass was included in the programme.

“Presepi in Strada”

The eighth edition of “Presepi in Strada” featured 26 nativity scenes at the four entrances to the town centre, in the two squares and along the streets of Isolabella. In “Presepi in Strada”, each nativity scene is entrusted to a local family or, in one case, to the parish for supervision.
