Below the hamlet of Cristo, the route runs along a flat paved road through the Piana di Pissero. For cyclists, one option follows the state road to Piedilago; instead of taking the impassable ascent, they can continue to Cagiogno on a paved road.

On the G00 Via del Gries stage between Baceno and Ponte, refreshments are available in Premia or Piedilago and at the Terme di Premia, in Cadarese and Fondovalle.
