In Cerda, the Madonna dei Miracoli is celebrated on September 8 with a long, slow procession through the town. The cult of the Madonna dei Miracoli came to Cerda through the Franciscan friar Salvatore Cirri from Collesano.

In the Chiesa Madre of Cerda, a statue of Maria SS. Immacolata stands in a niche above the main altar. Religious customs also include the so-called “rincuontru,” a depiction of the encounter between Mary and her “dead” son.
