In Tret, nature experiences, physical activity, local craftsmanship and sacred architecture come together along both short and more demanding routes. Lago di Tret is an alpine lake at an altitude of 1,605 metres on the border between the provinces of Trento and Bolzano. Cascata di Tret is located in the Tret district and can be experienced both from an easier path above the waterfall and via a more demanding route to its base.

To Lago di Tret and Cascata di Tret

From the car park, the path follows Sentiero No. 512 and gains about 350 metres in altitude, reaching Lago di Tret in approximately one hour. Another hike to Lago di Tret takes about 40 minutes from Loc. Plazze di Tret. The different starting points and the explicitly approximate time estimates provide a practical basis for comparing routes and planning your day accordingly.

An easy walk along a comfortable gravel road from the centre of Tret reaches the viewpoint above Cascata di Tret. From the car park behind Albergo Aurora in Tret, the waterfall can be reached in 15 minutes. The Cascata di Tret variant of the Cammino Jacopeo d'Anaunia allows hikers to see the waterfall from below in a natural gorge. The Anello nel Canyon del Mondino circular route can also be extended to Cascata di Tret.

Climbing and gravel cycling

Falesia Cascata di Tret has 19 climbing routes with difficulty ratings from 5a to 6c+. The climbing routes are up to 35 metres long; climbing requires a 70-metre rope and 17 quickdraws.

The Macaion Roen Gravel route is 59 kilometres long, includes 2,070 metres of elevation gain and runs 76 percent on unpaved surfaces. It passes Cascata di Tret and climbs towards Lago di Tret. For Canyoning a Castelfondo, the meeting point is at Via Laste 37 in the Tret district; participants should arrive 30 minutes before the departure time.
