Visible Traces and Ecclesiastical History

The Pozzo di San Giliberto can still be seen today at the edge of Provincial Road 31 near Monsigliolo di Cortona. The Church of San Biagio in Monsigliolo is already mentioned in the 1274 tithe list as a suffragan church of the Pieve di Sant'Eusebio. Anyone interested in visible landmarks and connections to ecclesiastical history can include both topics in their exploration.

Festival and Regional Cuisine

The Festival della Gioventù in Monsigliolo was held from June 27 to July 5, 2026, for its 50th edition at the Zona Sportiva. At this edition, Chianina beef with IGP certification was served in grilled dishes and as ragù for homemade fresh pasta. The festival thus combines a specific venue with regionally inspired dishes and a special date on Monsigliolo's calendar.
