San Michele Arcangelo and the Stations of the Cross

The church of San Michele Arcangelo in Buriano was rebuilt in 1735. A Stations of the Cross is located on the road around the church of San Michele Arcangelo; this section is also known as the Complesso Monumentale di Buriano. It comprises 14 images; an olive-wood cross from Jerusalem is also part of this section.

Rocca Maestrino and Pollaiolo

The shape and masonry of Rocca Maestrino point to a military origin dating back a long way. In Pollaiolo, there were water-powered buildings that are recorded as mills on cadastral maps from the beginning of the 19th century.

The Fonte di San Busceto is located on the Montalbano mountain ridge at an elevation of 335 metres and provides fresh water all year round. The Fonte della Bettina can be reached via a short staircase and has a picnic table.

Baugiano and Farm Produce

Baugiano is an educational farm and a social farm. Oil, cheese and cured meats are produced and sold directly there. Baugiano also has five themed areas, an amphitheatre and a picnic area.

At Baugiano, visits to the farm animals were offered during their feeding and care. These visits took place on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. by prior reservation. For Baugiano, this former weekend schedule should be treated as a separate point in the day plan because it was tied to caring for the animals and the 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. time slot.
