The Santuario di Santa Maria delle Grazie

The Santuario di Santa Maria delle Grazie was established in the 15th century as an oratory built by the brothers Iacopo Luci and Luparello Luci. In 1501, the oratory was expanded and converted into a convent. The Santuario includes a later-restyled Renaissance cloister made of terracotta, located between the church and the rectory. Also in the wider regional surroundings, the Elsa forms a waterfall approximately 15 meters high and a small lake about 10 meters deep at Diborrato. The regional Elsa area thus combines the approximately 4 km-long SentierElsa with the waterfall and small lake at Diborrato.
