Sinalunga combines architectural heritage, festival culture, regional specialties and paths through an agricultural landscape. The Palazzo Pretorio can be recognized by its façade and tower, built in the terracotta typical of Tuscany.

Festivals, Market Traditions and Local Cuisine

The Fiera alla Pieve has an earlier and a present-day form. In the past, it took place during the second week of October on the grounds next to the Pieve ad Mensulas church; the focus was on the sale of livestock, meat and goods. Today's Fiera alla Pieve preserves gastronomic traditions with porchetta, celery, croccante, as well as cheeses in various types and stages of maturity. There are also market stalls and an amusement park.

L’Incantaborgo brings together craft markets, exhibitions, street food and special openings of particularly noteworthy places in the historic center. Every summer, a festival with mobile street theater, acrobatics, juggling, dance, visual installations and musical performances is also part of the program in Sinalunga. For visitors who want to combine a city visit with regional food culture, this event program brings together cultural and culinary experiences.

Historic Places and Special Visits

A notable historic site is the underground passageways of the Fonte del Castagno. They are more than 200 meters long and were completed in 1265. Visits are organized by the Gruppo Archeologico Sinalunghese. Groups of no more than 10 people are scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays; a written request must be sent at least one week in advance to ufficio.turistico@comune.sinalunga.si.it.

Paths Through the Landscape

For exploring the landscape, the Via Lauretana crosses the Sinalunga area. It starts from the hamlet of Scrofiano and leads through oak forests, cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves. Alongside Arezzo, Sinalunga is one of two recommended starting points for the Percorso del Gigante Bianco loop route and is considered a central place on the route. The Chianina cattle breed forms the thematic thread of this loop route.

Along the Percorso del Gigante Bianco, visitors can tour Chianina cattle farms and taste authentic IGP beef.
