Another hiking trail follows a comfortable, descending track to Fosso Valcodale and then continues through dense vegetation. Broom and juniper are common there. This means that the landscape impression of this trail can be experienced not only through distant views, but also through the terrain and vegetation.

Belvedere and Casacce-Belvedere

The local historical points of reference are also specific. The Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo in Belvedere is a subsidiary church. In the village of Casacce-Belvedere, a small statue of Saint Ubaldo was erected on September 11, 1975, along the state road between Gubbio and Perugia.

The statue was intended to remind travelers from Perugia that they were entering the municipality and diocese of S. Ubaldo. In the surrounding area, the ruins of Castello di Valcodale also preserve impressive architectural elements despite weathering. The subsidiary church, statue, and castle ruins thus give the area different historical points of reference.
