Rosapineta: Nature, Coast and Regional Experiences
Rosapineta combines the natural landscape of the Po Delta with the coast, regional specialities and a wide range of activities. When planning your trip, the name Rosolina Mare is important: it is the tourist name of Rosapineta. As a result, you will encounter both names in connection with different aspects of the area, from the parish church to the beaches and holiday facilities.
Lagoon, Dunes and Forest in the Po Delta
A central natural area is the Porto Caleri Botanical Garden. It covers 44 hectares and showcases habitats ranging from the lagoon and dunes to the beach. The sequence of these landscapes makes the different facets of the coastal region immediately comprehensible and provides a specific point of reference for anyone interested in plants, aquatic landscapes and the nature of the Po Delta.
The Rosapineta Camping Village is also located in a natural setting in the Po Delta Park. Beyond the area accessible from Rosapineta, stands of maritime pines and holm oaks extend across an alluvial plain of the Po Delta.
Beaches and Coastal Landscape
In the wider regional area around Rosapineta, the beaches of Rosolina Mare and Porto Caleri stretch for 9 km. This gives you a coastal area whose landscape extends across several beach sections. Together with the habitats of the Botanical Garden, the coast forms an important part of the region’s character.
Cycling Routes and Birdwatching
The Via delle Valli is a network of cycling routes covering approximately 35 km between Rosolina, Porto Levante and Porto Tolle in the Parco del Delta del Po. Birdwatching is also possible in Rosolina Mare, in the area around Rosapineta. Both themes suit travel planning in which you want to experience nature not only as a landscape, but also connect different places and activities in the Po Delta.
Activities at Rosapineta Camping Village
Rosapineta Camping Village has an international 18-hole minigolf course. It also offers football, five-a-side football, tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis, billiards and bocce. The range therefore extends from ball sports and racket sports to minigolf and bocce. This means that the Camping Village offers several clearly distinct leisure activities for planning individual days of your trip.
Culture and Cuisine in Rosolina Mare
The Church of Sant’Ignazio d’Antiochia is the parish church of Rosolina Mare. Every year in July, it hosts the event “Gusto Polesine – Sapori in Piazza”. The Pro Loco stalls offer typical products from the Polesine area. The church, event and regional products thus also give Rosapineta a cultural and culinary side.
The culinary offerings include La Chiesetta, a traditional restaurant with a pizzeria in the Rosapineta Sud holiday village. La Chiesetta serves fish specialities and pizzas.
