Ville Castle is the oldest manor house of the Challant noble family. In the 11th century, it began as a simple tower beside an enclosing wall. Its origins thus date back to an early phase in the history of castles.

In the mid-15th century, Catherine of Challant strengthened the fortifications of Ville Castle; she lived there with her husband Pierre d'Introd. For visitors interested in cultural history, this makes not only the building itself but also its connection to a specific family history tangible.

The most important piece in the parish museum of Challand-Saint-Victor is a magnificent wooden crucifix, a Gothic masterpiece from the 14th century. The old Isollaz Mill on the Évançon was restored in more recent times with its original character fully preserved.
