Torre Canne combines a light sandy beach with thermal treatments, a lighthouse dating from 1928 and destinations around Egnazia.

Beach, dunes and sea views

The beach of Torre Canne is characterised by fine, light sand that forms dunes with Mediterranean vegetation. The shallow sandy seabed off Torre Canne slopes gradually, enabling safe swimming. This gives the coast its own character, consisting of a light-coloured beach, gently sloping seabed and vegetated dunes.

In the immediate vicinity of Torre Canne is Spiaggia Torre Canne. The Spiaggia Rosa Marina and Spiaggia di Monticelli are also nearby.

Lighthouse and practical orientation

The lighthouse of Torre Canne was built in 1928 and is 35 metres high. From it, the coast of Torre Canne can be seen on one side and the coast of Savelletri on the other. The lighthouse thus combines architectural history with views of two coastal sections.

The Info Point Torre Canne is located in a building near the lighthouse of Torre Canne. The address is Via Eroi del Mare 61–67, 72015 Fasano. For orientation on site, this specific reference point is an immediate part of the landscape around the lighthouse.

Thermal baths and protected coastal wetlands

The Terme di Torre Canne have 11 springs fed by underground watercourses. The Terme di Torre Canne also offer thermal treatments covered by the Italian National Health Service (SSN).

Torre Canne can be reached via the Torre Canne exit of the SS 16. The Litorale brindisino protected area in the Parco Naturale Regionale Dune Costiere encompasses coastal wetlands that serve rare and endangered species as breeding grounds or resting places during bird migration.

Route and archaeological sites

The Via Francigena del Sud includes a stage from Savelletri to Torre Canne.

The ancient site of Egnazia - Criptoportico, the ancient site of Egnazia and the ancient site of Egnazia - Necropoli are located in the vicinity of Torre Canne. The Museo Archeologico Di Egnazia is also nearby. These destinations lead from the coast to the ancient sites and the archaeological collection of Egnazia, without the individual locations becoming a single place to visit.

The Zoosafari Fasanolandia zoo is also located in the vicinity of Torre Canne. Thus, in addition to natural and cultural attractions, the surrounding area includes another independent excursion destination.
