Two courtyards, kitchens, several storage areas and the living quarters have been preserved in the Aragonese Castle. There are also massive walls and four towers. These details make the medieval defensive architecture tangible not only through its names, but through its preserved structural elements.

The Basilica di Santa Maria di Cubulteria is associated with a procession held annually on June 27 in honor of San Ferdinando.
