Sea, promenade and beach
Riccione combines coastline, culture and leisure activities. Along the Lungomare della Libertà runs a pedestrian and cycle promenade separated from motorised traffic. It offers an exceptional panoramic view of Riccione’s beach and sea. Riccione also has 13 free beaches distributed along the entire urban coastline. All 130 bathing establishments in Riccione are accessible and free of architectural barriers; they have equipped sanitary facilities, accessible paths and walkways leading to the parasol.

Culture in the cityscape
Culture is also right at the heart of the cityscape. The Spazio Tondelli, a cultural and multifunctional centre, is centrally located in Riccione between Viale Ceccarini and Viale Don Minzoni. There, it offers performances included in a subscription and hosts special productions as well as artistic residencies. The “Concrete vs Concrete” mural was created in 2015 by Eron (Davide Salvadei). It is located in the underpass of Via Flaminia in Riccione, depicts a heron and a seagull in flight, and is now part of Riccione’s cityscape.
Museums, art and history
For a historical perspective, visit the Museo del Territorio “L.Ghirotti”. It presents important evidence from Riccione and its surrounding area, dating from prehistoric times to the Roman period. You can arrange guided tours of the museum with the museum staff. The Galleria d'arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Villa Franceschi is housed in an elegant early-20th-century villa. It displays paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphic works from the municipal art collection and the Arcangeli collection of the Emilia-Romagna region.
Leisure and architectural heritage
Aquafan in Riccione offers a large wave pool, water games and water slides. Oltremare in Riccione offers experiences centred on nature, science and adventure. Riccione Terme is located in an extensive, tree-lined park just a few metres from the beach. Parco della Resistenza contains a lake covering approximately 900 square metres. Villa Lodi Fè completes this range as an elegant early-20th-century eclectic-style residence and one of the first examples of chalet architecture on the Adriatic coast.
Tradition and theatre
Riccione also brings local tradition and theatre to life. Rustida, a grilled bluefish dish prepared on traditional foconi, together with the profession of the bagnino, is included in the Italian General Catalogue of Cultural Heritage. The profession of the bagnino in Riccione belongs to the section for demo-ethno-anthropological cultural heritage in the General Catalogue of Italian Cultural Heritage. The Premio Riccione per il Teatro was founded in 1947 and is an Italian playwriting competition. Since 1999, the Premio Riccione “Pier Vittorio Tondelli” has publicly showcased promising emerging playwrights under the age of 30.
