Historic Sites in Ramuscello
The Cappella Gentilizia di Santa Anastasia is located within the Villa Freschi complex in Ramuscello. The chapel dates from the late 18th century. Villa Freschi itself is privately owned and is not open to visitors. When planning your visit, it is therefore important to distinguish between the historical significance of the complex and sights that are actually accessible.
Santa Maria della Salute is also located in Ramuscello. The church was built in 1935 on land belonging to Countess Francesca Freschi, based on a design by the Udine architect Pietro Zanini. Its construction therefore dates from a considerably more recent period than that of the Cappella Gentilizia di Santa Anastasia. Those wishing to compare different periods and forms of religious architecture will find two distinct historical points of reference in these buildings.
The Parco di villa Attimis, Freschi-Piccolomini landscape and architectural complex is located in Ramuscello Vecchio.
Routes with Different Itineraries
After crossing Regional Road 463, the “Orizzonti aperti” route follows minor roads to the centre of Ramuscello. This means that, alongside the individual historic sights, the route through the village is also a focus. If you like to structure your days around specific paths, this route offers a clear spatial connection to the centre.
“Orizzonti aperti” runs for approximately two kilometres along Via Viali.
Another route is called “Alla scoperta del territorio di Sesto al Reghena” and ends in the Ramuscello district. It runs along Via Monte Santo and Via Piramidi to the junction with the Strada Statale. It then continues along Via Freschi to the villa of the same name. This route is particularly relevant for cycling enthusiasts, as it connects Ramuscello with an exploration of the area around Sesto al Reghena.
Local Winegrowing
Cantina di Ramuscello takes in the grapes grown by more than 150 members in the local area. If you pay attention to regional products and the origins of local produce while travelling, the Cantina is one of the subjects to consider when exploring Ramuscello.
Museums in the Surrounding Area
The Museo Nazionale Concordiese is located in the area around Ramuscello and is a museum with its own cultural focus. The Museo Paleontologico "m. Gortani" is also located nearby and offers another area of focus as a museum. Both destinations broaden the cultural perspective beyond the buildings within Ramuscello.
The Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico Pordenone is also located in the wider regional area around Ramuscello. Cultural exploration around the village therefore includes historic architecture and museums in the surrounding area, as well as a science-focused centre in the wider region.
