For 2026, the “Attore per un Giorno” experience is being advertised there. Participants are equipped with make-up, hairstyles, costumes and accessories from the Western era, receive a specially developed role and are accompanied by staff. Within a few days, they receive a short film. A stay in Campo di Carne can therefore also be viewed as a special, creatively designed experience.

The railway overpass as a historical site

The railway overpass in Campo di Carne is central to local memory. It is regarded as a symbol of the battle there and was at the centre of the fighting from the first hours of the Allied landing. The embankments of the overpass provided protection from German artillery. This spatial connection between structure, terrain and wartime events makes the site interesting for visitors who want to understand historical events through specific locations.

During the German counteroffensive “Fishfang”, the railway overpass also formed the last line of defence of the beachhead. The combat area of the Battle of Aprilia extended from Campo di Carne to Campoleone.
