Marina di Andora: Beaches, Nature and Culture by the Water

Marina di Andora includes beaches, waterfront paths, a marina, a protected wetland and several cultural facilities. Sailing, E-Bikes and Windsurfing

Andora Match Race is home to an FIV sailing school where you can learn the basics of sailing on cabin boats and wing foiling. The facility also organises guided e-bike excursions for everyone, accompanied by a qualified guide. Since 2011, the “Vela Senza Barriere” project has enabled people with disabilities to sail on specially equipped boats. During the summer season, a free access corridor to the sea on the western promenade also makes windsurfing possible.

Culture in Andora

Located in the centre, Palazzo Tagliaferro is a cultural centre with exhibition, museum and information areas dedicated to culture, art and the local area. The Museo Mineralogico “Luciano Dabroi” displays minerals as well as scientifically and educationally interesting specimens. The Contemporary Culture Center – Galleria Civica focuses on contemporary art and temporary exhibitions.

Wetland and Nature Experiences

The Oasi del Merula is a protected wetland at the mouth of the Torrente Merula within the municipality of Andora. Its reed beds are home to numerous breeding and migratory bird species, as well as amphibians and fish. The Oasi del Merula is particularly suitable for birdwatching in autumn and spring; many migratory birds stop there at this time and can often be seen with the naked eye. The Centro di Educazione Ambientale in the harbour area promotes responsible tourism and nature excursions on land and water.

The Porto di Andora as a Maritime Point of Reference

The Porto di Andora is a modern municipal marina east of Andora’s built-up area and is easily accessible both by land and by sea. It has approximately 850 berths for boats ranging from 4 to 20 metres in length. The harbour also caters to people without their own boat; its facilities include a solarium, a viewpoint, water sports, whale watching and a fish market.
