The area's older history is also evident in other religious buildings. The foundation stone of the Chiesa di San Marco was laid on 18 April 1673; the church was consecrated in 1692. San Giovanni delle Formiche on Monte Cunision is mentioned in a document from the year 830. Restoration work on San Giovanni delle Formiche began in 1988 and led to the church's restoration.

Hiking on the Sentiero 617A

The Sentiero 617A is an E-classified hiking trail from Cascina Barberino to Pizzo Mosca in Foresto Sparso. Along its route, the trail passes through a forest and crosses the Sentiero 701 after more than one kilometre. If you want to plan the hiking element of your trip deliberately, this specific route provides a clear point of reference alongside the area's cultural attractions.
