Montirone between Local Culture, Trails and Nature

The Gruppo di Cammino di Montirone covers approximately 5 km and meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 p.m.; the meeting lasts until approximately 7:30–7:40 p.m. If you are traveling with different interests, you can accordingly divide the town into a cultural focus and an exercise-oriented focus.

Trails in Parco della Cominetta

For walks, Parco della Cominetta offers a clearly defined route profile: a 5-kilometer-long trail runs through the park. One trail in Parco della Cominetta runs alongside the Brescia–Parma railway line and has an unpaved surface. In the park, both the 5-kilometer length and the unpaved surface, as well as the route along the railway line, are therefore significant. This is a useful distinction if, when planning your day, you pay attention to the relationship between the distance and the condition of the trail.

Cava Canali and the Nature of Montirone

Another connection with the landscape can be found at the former Cava Canali in Montirone. Cava Canali is used for sport fishing and as a park. Fourteen dragonfly species have been observed at the former Cava Canali. These 14 observed dragonfly species add a natural-history perspective to this landscape.
