The parish church of Sant'Alessandro was decorated by Rodolfo Gambini at the beginning of the 20th century. West of the road between Crocetta and Colombato, the Pieve della Madonna dell'uva stands on a small hill. The Madonna dell'uva chapel dates back to the 12th century and, as a medieval rural church, remains a destination for popular devotion today, especially during the grape harvest season. Until modern times, Castello di Montecalvo Versiggia was the municipality’s most important settlement and a center of power.

Cycling through the Oltrepò Pavese

For active days, the Ciclovia Pavia, Loop Route 2, offers a clear course: it leads from Montalto Pavese via Pometo and Montecalvo Versiggia back to Montalto Pavese. The loop is 28 km long and suitable for hybrid bikes and mountain bikes. Returning to Montalto Pavese makes the route easy to plan as a continuous loop.
