History in Churches, Castles and Libraries

The Castello dei Conti Oliva was rebuilt by the Oliva family after Francesco Sforza conquered it in 1445. The church of S. Biagio contains two Gothic funerary slabs of the Conti Oliva, as well as a fresco of the Madonna and Child with Saints dated 1576. At the end of July, the Palio dei Conti Oliva takes place as a historical re-enactment and includes archery competitions.
