Terranova in Italy: Trails, River Landscape and History

The former river history is also part of the village’s character: historical crossings of the Po included a ferry between Frassineto and Terranova. Walking Along the Sesia

The southern section 5 of the Cammino del Sesia runs from the bridge at Terranova to the Sesia’s confluence with the Po. Part of this section runs close to the Sesia River. 900 metres from the bridge at Terranova, the route reaches a gravel road closed to cars that leads to Aqvatica Lake. A Flat Cycling Stage Through the Countryside

The sixth stage of the Castellania–Oropa cycle route runs from Casale Monferrato to Santhià and is completely flat. Another Route to the Grangia di Gazzo

An excursion route leads from the area around the sports field via the turn-off to the Grangia di Gazzo and along unpaved paths to the confluences of the Marcova and Roggia Stura with the Sesia. Alongside the Cammino stage and the cycle route, this provides another specific route connecting historical sites with the surrounding waterways.
