Bielmonte: Trails, Mountains and Winter Sports in the Oasi Zegna

Bielmonte is located at the highest point of the Panoramica Zegna and forms the heart of the Oasi Zegna. This protected mountain area covers 100 square kilometres and is open to everyone. As a result, landscapes, short hiking experiences, winter sports and excursion destinations come together here in a clear alpine setting.

Easy Trails and Mountains Around Bielmonte

The Giro di Bielmonte is an easy route from Bielmonte to Monte Marca and takes 1 hour and 30 minutes, with an ascent of 150 metres. The Bosco del Sorriso is also an easy circular trail. It is 4.8 kilometres long and starts at Bocchetto Sessera in Bielmonte. The walking time is 1 hour and 15 minutes, with an elevation difference of 50 metres.

Several mountains are located in the immediate vicinity of Bielmonte: Monte Marca, Monte Marchetta, Rocca dell'Argimonia and Monte Terlo. The meeting point for the Percorso Bellavista is at Chalet Caulera on the Panoramica Zegna, which runs from Trivero to Bielmonte.

Winter Sports and Activities in Different Seasons

The Bielmonte ski area offers 18 kilometres of downhill ski runs and 20 kilometres of cross-country ski trails at elevations between 1,200 and 1,650 metres. The ski offering also includes the black Dosso Grande run. Bielmonte's ski slopes are illuminated. The Ski Racing Center Oasi Zegna in Bielmonte has five FIS-homologated runs.

Different activities are also available outside winter. In summer, Bielmonte offers trekking on the trails of the Oasi Zegna. From May to October, Al Maneggio Equiturismo in Bielmonte offers horse-riding activities for beginners and experienced riders. Rolbarun includes a chairlift ride to Monte Marca followed by a descent towards the valley. With Rolbarun, a ride on a wheeled bob takes you down mountain slopes on a track similar to a winter bobsleigh run.

Bielmonte has the Bosco Avventura adventure course among the trees.

Cycling Routes with Different Approaches

Two routes lead to Bielmonte for road cyclists. Le salite del Giro – Alpe Noveis e Bielmonte da Est is a road cycling route that climbs from Alpe Noveis to Bielmonte. Le salite del Giro: Oropa, Rosazza e Bielmonte da ovest reaches Bielmonte after the climb to the Santuario di Oropa. The two routes therefore have different starting directions and notable points along the way to Bielmonte.

Castles, Museums and Palaces in the Surrounding Area

Castello di Zumaglia is a castle in the vicinity of Bielmonte, while the Fondazione FILA Museum is a museum. Palace Gromo di Ternengo and Palace of Masseranòs Princes are palaces in the vicinity of Bielmonte. Together, these destinations add sightseeing outside the immediate mountain and leisure activities to your stay.
