La Marmorata and its bays
La Marmorata beach is located in the immediate vicinity of Marazzino. Its main beach is characterised by fine white sand. The two bays of La Marmorata offer views of the island of Santa Maria and the islet of La Marmorata. La Laurina is the smaller of La Marmorata’s two beaches and can be reached on foot from the main beach. The name “La marmoratina” is associated with La Laurina.
The islet of La Marmorata can also be reached by swimming.
Cala Sambuco: Getting there and access
For Cala Sambuco, travelling by boat or on foot from Marazzino is recommended. Access is via an unpaved road; afterwards, continue on foot from an area near a gate. You should take this sequence into account when planning your day if you would like to combine the excursion with other coastal destinations.
Getting your bearings on the way
On the road from Santa Teresa Gallura towards Palau, a left turn to Marazzino appears after approximately 5 km. Access to La Marmorata is via the Marazzino–La Marmorata turn-off and then continues to a paid car park. This means that finding your way to Marazzino and continuing on to La Marmorata can be considered separately.
