San Pasquale: Churches, Festivals and Views as Far as the Islands of Corsica

San Pasquale offers several specific points of interest for a journey between landscape, culture and regional tradition. From the hill, the panoramic view stretches to the Maddalena Archipelago, the Coluccia Peninsula and the islands of Corsica. In the village and its surroundings, you will encounter churches, a park and the remains of a nuraghe. Masses, sagre and tastings of typical Gallura dishes complete the picture.

Churches and historical sites

At the entrance to San Pasquale stands the granite-built Church of San Pasquale Baylon. It was built in the 1960s in the style of Roman basilicas.

Near Santu Micali del Liscia, in the surroundings of San Pasquale, the rural Church of San Michele Arcangelo is located in Parco Santu Micali. It was built in 1730 and belongs to the parish of San Pasquale. Parco Santu Micali is considered a park open to visitors near San Pasquale. The remains of the Mascone nuraghe, which are considered accessible to visitors, are also among the town's historical sights.

The two churches differ in age: San Pasquale Baylon was built in the 1960s, while San Michele Arcangelo was already built in 1730.

The hill near San Pasquale offers a panoramic view that stretches to the Maddalena Archipelago, the Coluccia Peninsula and the islands of Corsica.

Festivals and Gallura dishes

The celebration in honour of San Pasquale takes place every year on 16 and 17 May. The religious programme includes Vespers, a procession and Mass. The celebration also includes music and tastings of typical dishes from the local tradition. In this way, the festival combines religious elements with communal dining and musical accompaniment. For annual planning, the religious celebration in May and the Festa del Turista in August are separate dates.

At the San Pasquale celebration in May, trippa and boiled meat with potatoes are served as typical dishes for tasting. Throughout the year, San Pasquale also hosts several masses and sagre with tastings of typical Gallura dishes, especially dishes made with locally raised meat. San Pasquale is therefore also interesting for your travel planning from the perspective of regional food culture.

The Festa del Turista is a recurring event in San Pasquale. The 35th edition was scheduled for 14 August 2025. A new edition was scheduled for August 2026, starting at 20:30.
