The Santuario di Santa Maria della Stella houses a monumental glazed terracotta depiction of the Nativity by Andrea della Robbia. San Nicolò-SS.Salvatore was rebuilt to the north of the old church destroyed by the earthquake of 1693; construction began in 1721. This building also contains Vito D’Anna’s painting Predica di San Nicolò from 1761.

Churches, works of art and family history
The Chiesa Santissima Maria della Catena is one of the few buildings in Militello in Val di Catania to have survived the earthquake of 1693. Santi Angeli Custodi has a Calatina majolica floor dating from 1785, bearing the coat of arms of the „Confraternita degli Agonizzanti“.
The Barresi and Branciforte families also shaped the history of Militello in Val di Catania. Under their influence, the town experienced an artistic and political flourishing in the first half of the 17th century. In the courtyard of Castello Barresi-Branciforte stands the Fontana della ninfa Zizza, dating from 1607.
