Albergo: historic routes and rural character

Albergo is considered an ancient village that is probably of Roman origin. At the same time, the settlement developed below Oliveto along the historic Vecchia Strada Senese. This area combines visible fortifications with a historic square and evidence of communal water supply.

From the south, Albergo can be reached via the Monte San Savino motorway exit, 4 km away. From the north, the route leads via the A1 Arezzo exit, which is approximately 6 km away. Albergo is also served by the Arezzo–Monte San Savino provincial railway line. The Sagra del Crostino took place in Albergo in 2026, in its 51st edition. Albergo is a hamlet of the municipality of Civitella in Val di Chiana (AR).
