Quercianella is a small seaside resort awarded the Blue Flag. The sea and beaches define the town. Several castles are located in the immediate surrounding area, and the “La cultura al Centro” cultural programme is also part of Quercianella’s cultural offerings. Bus connections run to Livorno and the surrounding area.

Beaches and water around Quercianella: harbour beach, saltwater pool and sailing school

Small harbour beach with saltwater pool

North of the harbour there is a small beach with a saltwater pool. The pool was created by an artificially constructed stone barrier. The harbour beach therefore forms a distinct point of reference in relation to the other beach destinations in the surrounding area.

Cala del Leone and Spiaggia di Calignaia

These include Cala del Leone and Spiaggia di Calignaia. The beaches Spiaggia per Cani and Bagno Aurora are also located nearby.

The water-based offerings also include the Federico Santerini sailing school in Quercianella. It is certified by the Federazione Italiana Vela, or FIV for short. In addition to swimming, sailing is therefore also a specific part of the town’s connection with the water.
