Quattro Strade: Discover Festivals, Culture and Landscapes

Festivals with a strong local connection

The Palio della Bilancia is also known as the Palio delle Contrade of Perignano and has been held since 1985. Quattro Strade is one of the six Contrade that take part in the Palio of Perignano. In the regional context of Perignano, the Palio includes a competition in which teams carry grain-filled sacks to their Castellane and throw them into a double basket at the end of a set of scales. The Festa dell’Incontro also takes place in Quattro Strade di Perignano. The Festa delle Palle Fritte reached its 24th edition in 2026. A different perspective is offered by Corro con Angelo, a non-competitive running event in Quattro Strade with four routes of 3, 7.5, 11 and 18 kilometres. One edition took place on a Sunday, 23 October. The event was launched by Angelo and a local association and has been held in Quattro Strade for several years. The different route lengths provide a clear range for personal planning, without restricting the run to a single sporting objective.
