San Miniato: Frederick II’s Fortress, Written Culture and Truffles

The antiquarium at the archaeological site preserves and displays finds from multidisciplinary research and excavation campaigns conducted by the University of Pisa since 2001.

The Museo didattico sulla Civiltà della Scrittura traces the most important stages in the history of writing. Using mostly faithful reproductions, it documents the development of various media used for written works. Via Francigena and the Network of Trails
