Winter sports and mountain tours

The Abetone Val di Luce ski area offers 50 km of slopes and 17 lifts. These include chairlifts, drag lifts, cable cars and conveyor belts. For cross-country skiing, the Abetone Gravity Park’s cross-country circuits start at the base of the gondola lift; their lengths range from 5 to 30 km. This range allows both shorter and longer cross-country tours in the same park. The Pista del Maiori begins 200 metres from Piazza dell’Abetone and is suitable for both classical technique and skating, as well as snowshoe hikes. In addition, the Abetone–Lago Nero–Abetone e-bike route covers 18 km, takes approximately 3 hours and has a medium difficulty level. With a duration of around three hours and a medium difficulty level, this route can be planned as a separate section of the day’s itinerary.
