The Pieve di San Giovanni Battista has been documented since the second half of the 10th century. It has a basilica-style floor plan with three naves. Its exterior walls are made of marble and sandstone, creating a subtle two-tone effect. The Pieve contains a Romanesque stone baptismal font. There is also a 16th-century fresco depicting a saint lying in the tomb, attributed to the school of Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
