Soligo between Sacred Sites and Landscapes

Soligo connects sacred sites, a river landscape and the hills of Farra di Soligo with a network of trails for Nordic walking and family hikes. The local trail network is suitable for Nordic walking and family hikes. Parco sul Soligo complements this landscape as an equipped green space on a bend of the Soligo River below San Gallo hill. The Col Maor and Monte Moncader mountains are located in the nearby area around Soligo. The Mondragon and Col Mongarda mountains are also located around Soligo. This allows you to distinguish between riverbank, hill and mountain landscape when planning your activities.

The hills of Farra di Soligo form another layer of the landscape. They are part of the UNESCO landscape of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Sacred Sites and Historic Traces

The Grotta di Lourdes is a small rock sanctuary built in the 1930s through the religious devotion of the inhabitants of Soligo. At the Eremo di San Gallo, a cypress-lined avenue leads from a cross to the entrance. Along this avenue are several carved stones, remains of a medieval castle.

The Chiesuola di Santa Maria Nova was completed by 1350 at the latest. The Chiesa di San Pietro e Paolo in Soligo contains paintings by Luca Giordano and houses an 18th-century organ. The Torri di Credazzo castle is located in the nearby area around Soligo. The Museo dell'Uomo, Castello San Salvatore and the Civic Museum of the Castello are also located around Soligo.

The Highly Visible Landmark of San Gallo

A particularly striking sight is the Christmas tree installation in San Gallo. It is illuminated by around one thousand light bulbs and is 112 metres high and 64 metres wide. The Christmas tree has been a tradition since 1993 and is visible from several kilometres away.
