Beach, Natural Area and Bird Migration

Eraclea Mare has an equipped beach that enables bathing and relaxation by the sea. In the southern part of the Eraclea area, in Eraclea Mare, lies the SIC site “Laguna del Mort e Pineta di Eraclea”, with the code IT3250013.

During bird migration, grey herons, cormorants, terns and little grebes rest at the Laguna del Mort. For nature observation, this period is the specific seasonal reference. Those who wish to observe bird migration can plan their stay at the Laguna del Mort for the relevant season. The pine forest also has a fitness trail with exercise equipment, providing a separate focus for targeted workouts. The fitness trail in the pine forest can be considered separately from seasonal birdwatching when planning the day.

Circular Route and Eco-Wellness Walk

The circular route at the Laguna del Mort is flat, approximately 6.5 kilometres long and suitable for participants aged six and over. Those planning the full circuit can take the flat route and approximate distance into account when planning their walk and any intended breaks. As a circular route, the trail returns to the starting point. The flat route describes the course, not the duration of the walk; pace and exercises may change the time required. Breaks between exercises can be scheduled during the circuit. The same path is also offered as an eco-wellness walk with targeted exercises. Explanations of natural, historical and cultural aspects are also provided.

Cycle Routes Along the Adriatic, Piave and Coast

For cycling excursions, the coastal cycle path offers views of the Adriatic and direct access to the beaches. An official stage reaches Eraclea Mare after following the Piave to its mouth at Cortellazzo. In addition, the “Seaside Routes” by Veneto by bicycle pass through Eraclea Mare in stage 3.4, entitled “Cavallino Treporti–Jesolo–Eraclea–Caorle”. The coastal connection and the Piave stage follow different routes: the coastal cycle path combines views of the Adriatic with beach access, while the official stage follows the river to Cortellazzo. When choosing a route, the coastal cycle path with views of the Adriatic and beach access and the Piave stage to Cortellazzo can be considered separately. Along the coast of Eraclea Mare and in its hinterland, there are also routes for walking, cycling, horseback riding and boating.

Rail Connection and Marina

An ATVO bus service connects the railway stations of Mestre and San Donà di Piave with Eraclea. For rail travellers, the connection to Eraclea therefore begins either in Mestre or in San Donà di Piave. On the coast lies the Mariclea Club, a marina in Eraclea Mare with direct access to the sea.
