Trails, springs and contrade

Several different trail themes are central to planning your trip around Orte: springs, contrade, forest and specific localities. The Sentiero D passes the Fonte Jolanda and continues through the contrade of Offiche, Onegra, Zao and Stoccheghe. The spring and localities follow one another along the same trail. The four contrade form the sequence of localities along the Sentiero D; the Fonte Jolanda lies along the trail.

The 1.2-kilometre Percorso 15 walking trail begins on Via Martiri della Libertà, runs along Via Orte through the Contrada Orte and leads to the Fonte Virgiliana. Its wooded section begins at an altitude of around 665 metres and reaches the Fonte Virgiliana at 630 metres. The Fonte Virgiliana is currently considered abandoned. The route combines a section through a locality with a wooded section and the destination at the Fonte Virgiliana. The destination at the Fonte Virgiliana and the wooded section are two parts of the same short route. For planning your day, you can conveniently take the length, starting point in the locality, forest section and change in altitude into account in advance as separate points of the same walking route in Orte.

Another trail takes a different approach. The Sentiero A leads from the Piazzale di Staro via Loc. Roccoli, Staro Mille, Piazza delle Erbe and Barloche to the Rifugio Campogrosso. Here, the square, localities and mountain refuge form a sequence of different waypoints. The route thus passes through several references to localities and squares before reaching the Rifugio Campogrosso.

The Palazzo Fogazzaro is located in the area around Orte. The Ecomuseo dell'Archeologia Industriale museum is also located there. Monte Bolca is another ancient site in the area around Orte. The scenic landscape also includes the Punto panoramico „Castello“ viewpoint, which is located in the area around Orte. Summits and landscape attractions

The nearby area around Orte also contains the summits Cima Campogrosso, Monte Baffelan, Cima delle Ofre and Cima Postal. The four summits complement the springs and contrade with specific mountain attractions in the immediate vicinity of Orte.
