This tradition also lives on in the celebration of Saint Blaise, held every year on 3 February and renewing a ceremony dating back to the 16th century that is connected with the centuries-old wool tradition. It includes Panicelle: small breads made from flour and water, shaped like a blessing hand and taken to be baked in a procession by people in traditional dress.
