Extra virgin olive oil is considered one of Villa Rosa’s leading local specialities. Viticulture is also connected with the town: Villa Rosa is associated with the DOCG Colline Teramane, and extensive quantities of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo are grown on the gentle hills near the sea. Olive oil and wine thus point to two different sides of the landscape between slopes and coast.

Coast, Beach and Nature

Spiaggia di Alba Adriatica is located in the vicinity of Villa Rosa. In Villa Rosa itself, Chalet Letizia is an equipped beach area with a restaurant, bar and aperitif options, a children’s play area and access for people with disabilities. The facilities therefore include both dining options and a play area, as well as largely accessible access.

The coastal biotope of Martinsicuro is located along an extensive free beach where dunes form naturally. The Fratino returns to the beaches of the coastal biotope every year to breed. The small bird is threatened with extinction. The biotope therefore combines a free beach and naturally forming dunes with a specific habitat for an endangered bird species.

Cycling and Walking Route on Site

The route “Villa Rosa: ciclabile lungo mare” is a combined cycling and walking path. A shared route for cyclists and pedestrians thus complements the themes of the coast, landscape, local cuisine and historical connections to the town.
