Lido Del Sole: Beaches, Water Sports and Excursions

Beach and Coastal Landscape

The beaches of Lido del Sole have fine golden sand and shallow seabeds. The Torrente Romandato flows into the sea at Punta Cucchiara on the coast between Rodi Garganico and Lido del Sole.

Water Sports on the Beach

Lido Blu Marine offers group lessons in windsurfing, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding and catamaran sailing. Windsurfing courses are available at four levels. For daily planning, you can therefore choose between the four disciplines and, for windsurfing, additionally between four levels.

Children’s Play Area on the Beach

On the beach at Lido Blu Marine, there is a designated children’s play area next to Caffè Blu.

Cycling between Foce Varano and Rodi Garganico

The Centro Bike at Lido Blu Marine is just a few steps from two important cycle paths that run along the coast between Foce Varano and Rodi Garganico to the east and west. Every bicycle at the Centro Bike can be rented for a single day or for a longer period. The Centro Bike’s fleet includes eight Atala e-run city bikes. For a one-day cycling tour, the bicycle can be rented by the day; for longer plans, the longer rental period is available as a second option.

Lake Varano and Cheese Making

Lido Blu Marine organizes e-bike excursions at Lake Varano. The e-bike excursion at Lake Varano starts at the Lido Blu Marine beach facility. At Masseria Fratelli Giordano, participants can make cheese themselves and taste the products made there. On such a tour, the cycling section at Lake Varano can be combined with a visit to the masseria and its cheese-making facility.

Tremiti Islands

Lido Blu Marine also organizes daily excursions to the Tremiti Islands, departing directly from Lido Blu Marine beach. Unlike the e-bike excursion at Lake Varano, the destination here is the island area, while the departure point also remains at Lido Blu Marine.

Wellness and Local Culture

In addition, Lido Blu Marine has a wellness area with two hot tubs.

The central square of Lido del Sole officially bears the name “Piazza Giovanni Panunzio, testimone di coraggio”. Piazza Giovanni Panunzio is a permanent place dedicated to legality, where remembrance becomes civic education and collective responsibility. The Santa Maria Assunta Church in Lido del Sole was built through the efforts of the priest don Matteo Troiano. Both cultural sites are located in Lido del Sole and are of interest to culture enthusiasts.
