The natural pool of Marina Serra lies between rocky walls. The pool was formed after the coastal quarries for Pietra Leccese were abandoned. At the site known as “Acquaviva”, abundant freshwater rises and flows into the sea at two points during low tide. The Grotta Matrona is also one of the town’s unique coastal experiences: it can only be accessed from the sea. Torre Palane dominates the coast of Marina Serra and dates back to the 16th century.

The Canale del Rio – also known as Canale “lu Riu” – is a natural inlet on the coastal road between Tricase Porto and Marina Serra. The Belvedere on the summit of Calino is also of interest for orientation along the coast: from there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the coast towards Andrano and Castro.
