The Possible Origin of the Place Name

The name Camini also carries a historical interpretation. It appears to derive from the Greek term kaminion for „oven“, possibly because of the numerous kilns that once stood in the area of Furno. The wording deliberately refers only to a possible derivation while also pointing to an earlier connection with the town's history of ceramics and kilns.
