Migliarino is located on the Po di Volano. In the town centre, you will find Parco Pubblico Migliarino, a large, tree-lined and well-equipped green space. The riverside location and central green space therefore shape two different sides of the town: one concerns the riverbank, while the other is a public open space in the middle of Migliarino.
An existing cycle path runs along the left bank of the Po di Volano from Agriturismo Boschetto to Ponte di via Giuseppe Garibaldi. The Ferrara–Ostellato–Ferrara cycle route is also relevant for those interested in cycling. It is of medium length, presents no particular difficulties and includes several separate sections for cyclists and pedestrians. The specific riverside route and the independent cycle route thus offer two differently described ways to approach cycling.
Historic traces in Migliarino
Migliarino was first mentioned in official records on 16 June 1103. The newer part of the parish church of Santa Croce in Migliarino probably dates from 1592. The two dates point to different historical levels and give the town a timeframe extending from the Middle Ages to the early modern period.
The town's other buildings also contribute to this historic character. Villa Forti belongs to an architectural type dating from the 17th and 18th centuries and is set in a large park; Torre Ravanelli is located behind the park. Several buildings in Migliarino are still well preserved today, so the historic side of the town is not limited to a single building.
