Romanesque church and remarkable art
The small parish church of Chiesa S.S. Gervasio e Protasio in Tabiano Castello is a Romanesque building from the 16th century. It is dedicated to Saints Gervasius and Protasius. In 1907, the church was restored and received a new façade made of Varone stone, based on a design by the architect Vacca. Ornaments made of white Carrara marble, created by the sculptor Rossi, are part of its design. The painting “L’Ultima Cena” from 1636 is also located in Chiesa S.S. Gervasio e Protasio. It bears the signature of Picelli, who came from Fidenza.

Castello di Tabiano is a private residence and can only be visited accompanied by a castle guide. The entrance with parking for Castello di Tabiano is through the gate opposite Chiesa S.S. Gervasio e Protasio. A guided visit with a castle guide is therefore required.
