The Chiesa dei Santi Giovanni Battista ed Evangelista dates from the 15th or possibly the early 16th century.

Ruins, woodland and protected nature

The Area Wilderness Parco Bossetto is a protected area in the municipality of Vicalvi and covers 10.3 hectares. It probably contains the only known boxwood stand in the Valle di Comino and in the province of Frosinone. Also on the eastern side of the hill is the Cappella di Santo Stefano Protomartire: today it is a ruin located away from the inhabited centre. Worked limestone blocks from Roman times are set into its walls and probably come from funerary monuments. The chapel’s name is associated with a document from 1563. Today it is surrounded by a pine forest created through reforestation in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Anello di Monte Morrone is an easy panoramic trail along an old mule track and offers views across the entire Valle di Comino. It includes a short ascent to Monte Morrone, which begins in the hamlet of Maschiuna near Vicalvi’s medieval castle.
